A in-app calendar grid that can be used to plan schedules weeks out in advance. It could have its own tab called “Schedule” or something similar.
(Ex: to plan out different shift lengths + times on different days efficiently, instead of making one scheduled block for each shift time and adjusting the days and times every week) -
To make #1 even faster, you should be able to copy the entire day-long timeline (all the blocks in a day) from any given day and save it as a template you can copy onto any other day. Individual scheduled blocks within a day should also be saveable as a template by themselves.
-
Fully customizable break length during focus session, allotted break limit (by total minutes or by break sessions), and the ability for the break to use a different filter setting instead of letting loose all apps (ex: allowing mail but not games). The schedule settings should have a range picker for the amount of break time minutes someone is allowed to grant themselves (ex: someone may use their phone for their entire work break one day, while other days they may want to choose less if they do something else with that time).
-
More iOS Shortcuts functionality!
-
Better updates on break duration + upcoming schedule announcements. (Ex: more toggleable options for time warnings other than the 1 min “wrap up” notification, the option to remind someone of a block 1+ hours in advance, etc.)
Hey @Sorrel_Kloes,
Thanks for the comprehensive and clear feature request for more shiftwork options! I’ve passed this feedback along to our engineers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app. I can’t promise all of the changes will be implemented, but it’s possible you’ll see some in the app in the future. Stay tuned!
All the best,
Team Opal
