Create a Firefox extension for Opal
Comment By: Felipe
Wouldn’t you be able to use the Chrome webstore and download the Opal extension from there? This might not work; I don’t use Firefox.

<@Felipe%%user%%53d4675a-b393-4e51-99cd-2bad94f89456> you’re right this should work, what’s on our list is to upload it there and check that everything works
How is this going? I cannot install the Chrome extension with Firefox
*****Opal currently only supports Chrome on desktop; we need support on Firefox and Safari. It’s a shame it won’t work on Firefox, which is more developer friendly then either of the other browsers listed. *******
Also need a more streamlined interface. It’s easy for developers and people who have really played around with the app to understand but, someone who doesn’t know the ins and outs, may find the app difficult to navigate. Some areas just needs to be cleaned up and organized better
Yes, please make it work on Firefox! Firefox is a privacy-first browser, just like Opal is.
please make it work on Firefox! We are really looking forward to it, thank you
Bumping this! Please make it work on Firefox (this would also make it work on browsers using firefox engine like Zen)
We still need an update to have the app working on Firefox please !! Literally everyone is using Firefox these days and it’s a huge loss from your part to not launch it on there !
Firefox, Zen and Vivaldi should have first-class support.
Many users don’t use Opal because they’re not supported.
I’m sure you’d quickly recoup any development costs by adding this user base.
Many founders and tech evangelists have flocked away from the Chromium based Arc to Firefox based Zen (including myself). It’d be great to see Firefox being supported on Mac!
Hi could you please let us know when will firefox be available?
Could we have an update about Firefox support please ?
any other Firefox on IoS users begin to have trouble since the new update? Suddenly browser blocking seems to have stopped working. I lost an hour to a twitter hole this morning trying to test it out lol
Its a shame because this app was a real game changer when i installed it 6 weeks ago, and that browser blocking was the main reason.
I have tried so far to reconnect to the screen time API and to reinstall the app (the latter causing more issues)
anyone else have suggestions?
@borfo I am having the exact same issue on Chrome iOS: no blocking. I think @kenneth is working on something, but not sure
@here thank you for the report. We fixed this in the upcoming release on Monday. If you update your app on Monday this should be fixed.

Hi, I am not able to get Opal to work with Firefox. It blocks other apps and safari but Firefox insists on crawling down a clickhole on youtube instead of being blocked.
Does it not work with firefox in general or is it due to my settup on firefox? Can there be conflict with extentions in firefox?
Thanks
A
I am facing the same issue as well. Seem to be working fine with other browsers.
I have the same problem, would be great if you could add Firefox to the list of browsers you’re working with. It’s my main browser, and I’d appreciate it
Hi Opal team,
pleeeaaaase support Firefox
I use it since years, and I won’t change, but I need to use Opal on my Mac too
