Hello,
Opal was working totally fine on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 18.5
Randomly one day the screen time on Opal was showing “0” and on my setting it was fine, it led me to d the steps to refresh and it corrected itself. Then it happened again, except this time it was showing zero everywhere. I have turned every setting on and off, restarted, uninstalled, granted ungranted permissions, you name it. The only screen time that appears on my phone settings is my MacBook’s. Oddly enough if I look at my historical screen time it gives me a number, but I can’t go into the daily to see the number, so it seems like its tracking but it’s just not showing
The update for Leaderboards and Streaks is insanely buggy. Mine too jumps from 0, then sometimes I have 4 hours plus, while my internal iOS Screentime records 2h in total. Everywhere in the app is a different number. Idk what they did, but its been flagged over and over for over a month…so far no change. Lost over 2k focus hours of my score and was told that those can not be recovered…super frustrating!
Hey @Peds,
Thanks for flagging these issues. We are currently working on ironing out the issues with our relatively new Streaks feature, but in the meantime, your screen time should not be depicted as zero. On that note, possible to let us take every single step outlined here in order and let us know which step fixed the issue for you?
-
Ensure you are on the newest version of the app here: ‎Opal: Screen Time Control on the App Store. If that doesn’t work, please:
-
Update your OS to the newest version here: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support. If that doesn’t work, please:
-
Reset your connection to Screen Time by heading to your device Settings > Screen Time > Toggle off Opal’s access to Screen Time. Then, toggle it back on. If that doesn’t work, please:
-
Force close the app using the instructions here: Quit and reopen an app on iPhone - Apple Support. Once it is closed, fully turn your phone off and back on. Open the app again and check your Home tab again to see if your screen time is displayed.
If you took every step (in the order outlined) and your Home tab is still not displaying your screen time properly, please let us know.
All the best,
Team Opal
Hello!
I tried every step and unfortunately none of them worked.
I don’t have Opal on my Mac just on my iPhone and I’ve tried it all.
