App block sessions

In upcoming update add settings to be allowed to be blocked during app block sessions

You can’t block the Settings app unfortunately directly, but you can follow this step by step to set up a block via shortcuts: Opal FAQ | How can I make Opal foolproof?

Hi, I just had a problem, I have an iPhone 13 pro with iOS 18.1.1, I realized that you could just completly turn off the phone and then when you turn it on again there are some problems that appear:

  • First the Opal app dosen’t block the apps, immediatly, which isn’t really important to be honest, I can only use the blocked app for 20 to 30 sec more or less

  • The first real problem, and I don’t know if you are really able to fix it is that the shortcuts to block Setting while an opal session is running I put and even the others don’t run. I don’t know if it’s because Shortcut is supposed to be blocked by Opal in this session or if it’s just because of Apple (the shortcuts don’t run even though this notification appear: PS: look at the screenshot I put further please🙏(sorry the notification is in French but that’s just the usual one)) that allows me to unlock the sessions

  • And last but not least, I turned off and then on the iPhone, then I went to Opal, as the shortcut were disactivated, and as I wasn’t in deep focus mode, I took a break of 15 min without even leaving early the session. I went to Instagram, and at the end of the break, the usual notification pop saying « your break is about to end, finish what you’re doing » and then « your break is over, let’s get back to work » but it didn’t cut the app, I was able to use Instagram without being stopped as long as I wanted

That’s all, do you think this could be fix please?

(And I don’t know, but maybe same happen when your phone run out of battery and then you charge it and use it again while a session
