I dont know why, but for some reason the logo looking like IG is putting me off very hard. Cant put it into words, normally id not care about these thing, but maybe its because it so hard against what you stand for? I choose this app cause I dont want to get distracted, now the logo screams for attention and reminds me of an app I avoid (and why im using opal). The minimalistic black suited you way better imo.
Hoping you turn it back around, or give an option.

That April Fools app logo change was funny, but it would be cool to keep an option to change the app back to looking like Instagram. Personally I found myself going to launch Instagram but accidentally clicking Opal instead, since they looked so alike. This would open Opal and “snap me out” of Instagram mode, which made me go do something else instead.

That said, your app icon should revert to its previous state today. Just open the app and the change should take effect. Otherwise, we’ve also seen MANY comments that people liked the change, so I’ve escalated that feedback to our engineers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app. Stay tuned!
