Customise View of Screen Time tracking on Home tab

I love opal but I wish it would show me screen time for the full day not just 5am to 12pm. I work late so I stay up late and I swear I spend the most time between 12 and 4am on my phone.

Currently, Opal counts all screen time after midnight toward the next day’s total. This causes inaccurate reporting for users who are active past midnight, as late-night usage (e.g., 00:30–01:00) is attributed to the following day instead of the previous one.

Proposed feature:

Allow users to define a custom daily cutoff time (e.g., 6:00 a.m.) that marks the transition between days. Any screen time before that cutoff should count toward the previous day’s total.

Example use case:

If a user typically ends their day around 1:00 a.m., they could set their cutoff at 6:00 a.m. so that post-midnight activity is still counted within the same “day” of use, ensuring more accurate insights into sleep and daily screen patterns.

Benefit:

Improves accuracy for night owls and users with flexible schedules, making daily screen time reports better aligned with real-world behavior.

hey @Peds ,

Thanks for reaching out and for the thoughtful feedback on our Home tab. I’ve consolidated all requests for this feature into a single thread, and I’ve passed your message along to our engineers and UI designers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app. Currently, we do not have plans to change how Screen Time is displayed or Tracked, but we welcome any feedback from our Gems and often integrate suggestions from our community. Stay tuned on that front.

Thanks again,
Team Opal
