Free trial issue - got charged immediately

I received a notification on Opal to redeem a free week. My subscription had just run out and had downgraded from pro, Was happy to see the free week since I had been wanting to get the year’s subscription but couldn’t really afford it until next week. However when I redeemed it I was charged immediately.

Support on the app said there was probably a mix up due to the fact that I’d already used a free week. This is true. I had used one. I hadn’t been expecting to be able to use another one but I still got an offer for it.

It’s fine that I only get 1 trial week, that’s not the issue. The issue is seeing an offer show up in the app for a free week when it actually wasn’t valid anymore and it was just going to charge me immediately. If an offer has already been used I shouldn’t see an offer pop up in the app. Because then it makes it seem like I’m receiving another one when I really am not. I am sure this is a glitch but it should probably be fixed. I do really like the app and have benefitted a lot from it but this was extremely frustrating as I said I am not in a good financial position for it this week and it’s going to make my budget really tight.
