Opal needs a kill switch for the entire private browsing

Opal needs a kill switch for the entire private browsing. No matter what I do, private browsing gets blocked during a session. I’ve tried recreating groups etc to no avail. Adult is definitely not checked.

I use private browsing to manage multiple profiles as I have about 3 O365 tenants, or have to impersonate a user. Having this broken is such a killer for me and others I’m sure.

Thanks for sharing - we’ll look into it.

Hello!

We have identified the issue, and it is on Apple’s side. We submitted a bug report for it in March, and we will inform you as soon as we receive a response from them.

We have also found a workaround. If you only select apps and not websites in your session blocking selection, the bug will not occur.

I hope this information is helpful!

This workaround appears to work, in that when I unblocked all websites my ā€œPrivateā€ browser tab (in Safari on iPhone) reappeared. But it really isn’t satisfactory: What good does it do me as a dopamine addict to (for example) block the YouTube app but not YouTube.com? Please advise whether you have heard from Apple. I’m considering not renewing my Opal Pro subscription and this is a major factor in my decision.
