Hi,
Whenever I open the app after a block I guess this extremely annoying screen before I can see the app.
I hate that itโs exactly like all the other apps that try to over validate their users.
Please remove it or create a setting to hide it, I really hate it.
Thanks for reaching out. Iโve passed this suggestion along to our engineers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app. Currently, we have no plans to change that screen, but that may change in the future. Stay tuned!
Iโd like to re-open this thread because I agree with OP wholeheartedly that the congratulations screen is incredibly annoying. It was cute the first time I ever had a block session. But now, I just need to be able to use the app immediately. Please give us the option to at least turn it off in settings.
Hey @laslo0728 and @Adrien thanks for the suggestions.
How do you feel when you complete a block? Why are you opening the app after a block?
What metrics you like to follow or feedback to have at this moment of completion?
Iโm opening the app for any number of reasons. If I open the app the next day, it still shows me the congratulations from yesterday โ totally useless by that point. I donโt think this needs to be that complicated: just allow us to turn off the congratulations screen and have it go straight to the main content of the app โ the home screen, the block screen, whatever โ without having to wait for the silly confetti animation to finish.
Whenever I open Opal, a big screen that blocks all other functions pops up that says something like โcongratulations, you blocked your apps for X hours, thatโs enough time to run a lap around the sun twiceโ or whatever.
Which is cute and all, except it does this EVERY TIME I open the app for the first time after a session has completed, and I have two scheduled sessions every dayโso whenever I try to open the app to start a one-time session or take a break from an app block, Iโm forced to stop in my tracks and banish this pop-up.
Could there be an option to turn it off? Or maybe have it stop showing up after the fiftieth time youโve completed the exact same scheduled session you always do? Or at least design it so it can be swiped off screen quickly rather than only dismissed by poking the tiny button in the corner?
Thanks for the feedback! Iโve passed this suggestion along to our engineers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app and merged your comments into the existing thread on the subject so that Gems can vote for this if they desire. Stay tuned!
