Reset selected App and website Cache

My app list contains apps that I deleted months ago and websites I probably have been on once. It would be nice if we could erase and reset this list based on the iphones current config. This would allow for less clutter when choosing apps to block and would also stop the constant crashing that happens when opening the app list.

Hey there @Emil_Sark,

Happy to help! On both our home screen and in our app picker screen, all the data comes directly from Apple (and unfortunately we don’t have access to that data outside our sandbox). Unfortunately, because it comes from Apple, and we have no access to that data, we’re unable to amend or remove any data related to it for you.

That said, if your App Picker screen is crashing while you’re attempting to choose apps and/or websites, please take the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Close any categories that you’ve left open while you are searching for apps and/or websites. If that doesn’t work;
  • Type a single letter in the “Search” bar. If that doesn’t work;
  • Type the name of the app or website that you’d like to block in a third-party app. Then copy and paste that word in the “Search” bar. If that doesn’t work;
  • Force close the Opal app, then check that you have the latest OS (Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support) and Opal version (‎Opal: Screen Time Control on the App Store), download if not. If that doesn’t work;
  • Head to Profile > Settings > FAQs > Advanced Features > Click on “Reset my Screen Time”. If that doesn’t work:
  • Delete and reinstall Opal. Please note that if you opt to do this, your Session data will be deleted. Prior to deletion, ensure you have an account made by heading to your Profile > Settings. If you see the option to sign up, please do so. That way, you may retain your Milestones.

Sorry about that,
Team Opal
