Hello Opal community!
I’m Marcel Pons, a Data Scientist at a mobile gaming company. I wanted to share a few suggestions that could help Opal further increase active users and improve conversion rates to the pro plan. I assume some of these ideas might already be on your roadmap, but I hope they can still offer value.
Analytics and Reports
-
Enhanced Analytics in Profile section: The current analytics view feels a bit limited. It would be beneficial to break down trends by the type of app used (e.g., “distracting,” “neutral,” etc.). Many people use their phones for work or self-development, so it would be helpful to track only the apps that could potentially affect their focus negatively.
-
Detailed Reports: Offering Week-over-Week (WoW) or even Month-over-Month (MoM) comparisons in the reports could provide users with a clearer view of their progress. Seeing positive trends over time would likely motivate users to engage more with the app, thus improving retention. Additionally, these reports should include the app-type breakdown to give users a more detailed understanding of their usage patterns.
-
Goal Setting: Allowing users to set personalized goals could further enhance engagement. This feature would not only motivate users to achieve their targets but also create a psychological commitment to improving their focus and productivity.
Implementing these features could also open up new opportunities for enriching the pro plan by introducing new types of rewards or gems.
I hope these suggestions prove valuable to you. If you’d like more information or assistance in A/B testing these ideas, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
