Hi there,
I’d love to suggest a small but powerful feature that would improve the user experience a lot. Right now, when a focus session starts or ends, there’s only a visual notification.
It would be super helpful to have an optional sound alert (a subtle beep or chime, for example) at the start and end of each session. This way, I wouldn’t have to check my phone screen to know how much time is left or if the session is over. It helps stay focused without distraction.
Thanks for the feature request! Currently, we do have some notifications you can toggle on to be alerted what your schedule starts or focus session is over, when you’re close to reaching your App Limit, or when your break is ending soon, as you’ve mentioned!
To toggle them on, please navigate to your Profile > Settings > Notifications. You can also update your sound notifications from your device Settings > Notifications > Opal to receive a sound when those notifications are sent. Otherwise, we don’t have a toggle-able notification within Opal for a sound alert as of yet, but I’ve passed this suggestion along to our engineers to consider as we continue to upgrade the app. Stay tuned!
