“What you up to?” Task tracker

I’ve used so many task trackers but none of them work because they don’t have this one specific feature that is really important.

I want to be able to have multiple tasks to choose from. It ask “What you up to?” and you can choose from a list such as “work, school, working out, eating, sleeping, relaxing, free time, hobby, etc”. But the feature I need specifically is to have them all displayed on one screen. and ONE MUST be active. Most time/task trackers only have the ability to “clock in” or “log” a task from a specific time to another specific time. But that only really helps me keep track of how long I did a task.

What I want this feature to accomplish is essentially, staying aware of the tasks I SHOULD be doing. Basically, I give myself a list of certain tasks i’m allowed to do. If it’s not on the list, I can’t do it (like social media apps and doom scrolling). It’s all about staying aware of what tasks you should be doing at all times. And I think Opal might be the only app that could pull this off because of its ability to prevent you from using certain apps when you’re not supposed to.

Like if i’m working, i’ll set this list of apps I can use during this task. When I’m at school i can use a couple extra ones that pertain to school. and when i’m relaxing i gain access to a couple entertainment apps. but ONLY when i’ve moved myself to the “relaxing task”.

And it could serve as a really good way to see how you spend your time. and on what tasks precisely.

I dont want a task tracker where i clock in and out of tasks. I want to always have a task that I should be doing. Even sleeping. I want to be aware that i’m doing that task while i’m doing it. I don’t want the option to not have a task. because not having a task just gives me a reason to cheat. I want to manage my time. And see how i spend it. I want it to be as simple as clicking on a different task to switch it.

What do you guys think?
