BUG - Settings button is frozen

Hi,
When I press the settings button the app freezes.
I have a 15 pro max and I have this bug for several months.

It’s funny, I can’t even report on this bug because in order to do that I need to go to the settings tab.

Thanks

Hey there,

Thanks for letting us know! Possible to update to the newest version of the app here:

Same here. I’ve had that for the past several months. Works fine on my iPad.

Same here on my iPhone 15 Pro. I cannot refer a friend because I cannot tap Settings without the app freezing every time. I already checked and I am using the latest version of the app.

Thanks @Peds,

I’ve escalated this to our engineers! Please stand by.

All the best,
Team Opal

Same issue here, using current version on iPhone 12 Pro. Pressing the settings button freezes up the whole app and have to close out of it completely.

Hey @here,

I have the same ongoing issue with the settings menu and have updated the app a multitude of times. Can you please advise how to get rid of this issue as need to delete the app.

We have done so and still encountering the same issue.

Can you please advise ?

I have posted about this several times yet I am frequently ignored I first posed this issue around two months ago and no solution so do not be surprised if you get no reply. If you are lucky to get one it will probably either be an update which does not work or the person just blaming your phone instead of the app

Hello @Peds ,

We’re trying to get this sorted. As such, we’ll ask everyone in this thread who is currently still encountering this issue to please do the following. First up, please ensure that your OS system is updated here:

Update iOS on iPhone - Apple Support

Once that’s complete, ensure you are on the newest version of the app here:

If you’ve already taken both steps, please let us know and email us directly at hi@opal.so so we can troubleshoot further.

Still does not work. Is there any other way to unblock people because I have been waiting for this for some time now

Hey there,

We’d be happy to help you. Please email hi@opal.so for further steps.

Team Opal

Would it not be easier to post the steps here so everyone can do it rather than one person emailing. This problem has persisted for quite some time and it is getting quite annoying now and is affecting the user experience.

Hey there,

I’m afraid this is affecting Gems differently, so we’ve needed to ask some questions regarding each Gem’s setup before we can assist. If you’re experiencing this problem, please email hi@opal.so and we’ll be happy to help!

I have emailed with all the details which has been asked for. No response and the problem still remains the way this is being handled is actually just terrible

Using an IPhone 15 pro on iOS 17.5.1.

I purchased the free trial through the MacOS app and when I tried to cancel the subscription the settings on my IPhone, the settings page no longer works.

When I press the settings button, the app freezes up.
